Review: Biore Micellar Cleansing Water

Since the beginning of time, I have been using absolute oil based cleansers to remove make up
Its effectiveness has been largely celebrated
but over the last 3 years, there have been more and more reports on the side effects of using oil based cleansers
like resulting in cloudy eyes and clogging up of the pores
Small issues like these can be easily overlooked though
However, concerned ladies have sparked the introduction of water based cleansers in the cosmetic industry

The cosmetic industry has always been very creative and innovative with producing products that aid women in every need in our make up routine
This is precisely why it’s totally enjoyable to keep abreast with the industry product launches

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water by Kao

Hailed as the Number 1 Makeup Remover brand in Japan
is a lightweight and refreshing makeup remover that lifts off more makeup in one wipe!
I received the Biore Micellar Cleansing Water in my mailbox 3 weeks back and this is the first time I was willing to give water based makeup removers a try

The Biore Micellar Cleansing Water contains:

  • Watery Micellar Technology that effectively dissolves and lifts off all makeup
  • Natural Mineral Water from the Northern Japanese Alps for a gentle and soothing formula
  • Enriched Collagen and White Tea Extract for brighter, softer and suppler skin
  • Anti-bacterial formula helps prevent pimples and breakouts, and minimises pores for a clearer and more refined complexion

  • Pump an appropriate amount onto a cotton pad
  • Use soaked cotton pad to gently wipe off makeup
  • No rinsing required
  • For eye makeup, place soaked cotton pad onto closed eyes and hold for 5 seconds before gently wiping it off
  • Repeat until all makeup is removed, and cotton pad is clean

Here, I wiped off half my face to show you the difference before and after cleansing with Biore Micellar Cleansing Water

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water instantly wiped off the BB cream, foundation, drawn eyebrow, penciled eyeliner and blusher
It requires you to hold on to the pad over your eye for a good 10 seconds before the gel eyeliner came off
and for my waterproof mascara, that stubbornly stayed throughout
can only be ultimately removed by the good ol’ oil based makeup remover

With the addition of the Biore Micellar Cleansing Water in my bathroom, my makeup removal routine has been tweaked
On days where no mascara is involved, the Biore Micellar Cleansing Water comes into play
On days where heavy eye makeup is involved, I’ll have to resort to my oil based makeup remover~

There should be many of us who puts on lighter make up on a daily basis and requires an efficient way to remove – without having to rinse after that
Biore Micellar Cleansing Water is best suited for you!
