Home Cooking Recipes: Cauliflower Rice

I’ve been cooking at home for a while since I closed my retail store
I’m more than happy to share my simple home cooking recipes that doesn’t require 3 hands or 5 legs to prepare
& here’s the first!

Cauliflower Rice

I’ve only heard of Cauliflower rice recently when I packed lunch from Do-Si-Rak at China Square Central
Cauliflower rice tastes much like rice and also fills you up without the actual guilt of digesting carbs
So I decided to try it out in the light of losing some weight

The finished dish above (first picture) originates from this cauliflower which is relatively large

In a nutshell, this is the ingredient list:
Cauliflower – your preferred size
Chinese Parsley (aka Coriander)
Olive Oil
Salt to taste

Cut the whole cauliflower into smaller florets

3 ways of grating the Cauliflower:
1. Grate diligently with a grater
2. Use a food processor/hand blender works too
3. Mince up with a sharp knife

The Braun hand blender was a new purchase and florets this size WILL NOT WORK

I had to chop it up like garlic so that it can be minced into this texture:

Next, prepare the parsley

Super fresh Parsley from the wet market!
Wash and cut the parsley

Cooking the Grated Cauliflower

About 1.5 tablespoons of Olive oil

Stir Fry for about 8 to 10 minutes

Add salt to taste
McCormick Garlic Salt is my favourite alternative to just normal salt
So I use this instead~

Lastly, throw in the parsley
which doesn’t require much cooking
Serve after 30 seconds
