Just a couple of days before I took off to New Taipei
I was bored of my hair and wanted something to be done
I get bored really easily… it’s kind of on a monthly schedule now =p

Trotted down faithfully to Headlines Hairdressing @ China Square Central Level 1
Having entrusting my manes to Gary for the last 3 years
This time, it’s no differentHe suggested a bold bleach to change the base of my usual mocha hair
I happily agreed!

The last I bleached was about 4 years ago?
After 5 bleaches, it was still impossible to achieve the kind of platinum blonde hair I wanted
It ALWAYS ended up YELLOW

At this juncture, please do not get me wrong
I wasn’t in pain at all
Took this selfie to show Mr Sunshine the progress – expression was more of a playful one to show him what he’s doing to get out of me
A total scare for him but I was hoping the bleach can get whiter

With a high pain threshold, I have absolute no feel for the bleaching part
Thereafter, the coloring went on and it was HELL PAINFUL!
Still tolerable when I fixed the vain objective firmly in mind~

And… I went home with this!
The original intention was to have grey roots that slowly flows into a golden brown tress
It’s a humble attempt to be tamed for the corporate image

It’s a little difficult to capture the exact color despite taking many selfies under differnt kinds of lighting
The best reflection of the actual color is in this photo below:

I would love the Grey to stand out more though

I know how scary this looks – LOL –
Just to better show the changing shades under light

Before I dwell further into unrelated issues….
this is also the very first time I suffered from Blistering Scalp right after the bleaching
That very night I return home lying on my pillow, extremely afraid to touch my pricking scalp

There were open sores and “gross” liquid flowing out of it
Prior to this, I have read many articles about getting scalp blisters from bleaching and I have always proudly told my friends that
NAH…. I’ve never gotten any of it

Given the thick hair texture and sturdy scalp
I have the luxury of ‘playing‘ with my hair by chemically torturing it and nothing severe happened

For ONE night, I had trouble falling asleep from the pain
and I was actually afraid

The Next day, Gary introduced me to Matrix Biolage SCALPSYNC Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

I washed my hair twice a day religiously with the Matrix Biolage SCALPSYNC Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
Naturally, even after the blisters heal up
there will be scaps of dead skin cells shedding from the scalp

Using the Anti-dandruff shampoo before the scapping happens serve as a prevention
True enough, there was NO dandruff
The BEST thing that happened was:
Immediate Pain Relief
Blisters sealed within 2 days

My scalp was totally renewed after 4 days!
This is how the hair color looks like after one week of washing

Brightens up my tanned complexion and distinguishes me from the amass of people in Raffles Place!
I’ve never tried a shampoo that worked so miraculously!
Seeing instant results and feeling immediate comfort…

Despite having this experience
I WILL STILL BLEACH MY HAIR AGAIN!
