I’m so ashamed of announcing this post as the first post in September when the month is coming to an end…
Mr R & me did SO MUCH this month:
– Shifted house
– Shifted into another home
– Packed again for a 9 day trip to San Francisco
– Prepared for Qttie Gelly Launch
– Planned and executed Lacquer & Luxury Vol 1 event at Vibe Retail Store
I took a breather, gained some composure, had an hour’s massage just before writing this & getting set on starting my blogging engine again
Within 9 months, we’ve been to San Francisco twice
Last Dec to spend Xmas with friends and this time, the very same friend got hitched!
That explains our existence in California again!
This trip, the mood was entirely different from any other holidays we had
Coz we were so damn tired!!!
Jetlag was prominent and to be honest, we have never settled into that time zone
After such an activity-filled month, I reckon that we would sleep our fill in this holiday & we did so!
My face was a puffy mess no matter how I force Mr R to take several shots with different angles (maybe the lighting wasn’t meant for snapping photos)
WE SLEPT FOR 1.5 DAYS!
Waking up and realizing it was time to go for dinner at Gary Danko (Day 2 of Itinerary)
The Michelin rated restaurant has been in business for the last 17 years
Located aside from Fisherman’s Wharf, I was totally expecting the heavenly seafood to be on my plates!
I made a reservation exactly 2 months before the actual date to avoid any form of disappointment
2 months is the maximum frame allowed prior to the reservation date anyway~
ok, this one is SPECIAL
Gary Danko has a 93-page WINE LIST that is going to drive you nuts (unless of course, you’re a connoisseur)
I’ve never seen such an extensive list of wines before in my entire lifetime!
After getting lost on page 21 of the Wine List, Mr R & me opted for cocktails!
How simple is this to start the dinner off!
Gary Danko is really flexible with the dining menu and basically charges a flat rate depending on whether you’re going for a 3 course, 4 course or 5 course meal
You select any dish and it all works out to be the same price at the end of the day

Seared Filet of Beef with Potato Gnocchi, Olive Oil, Swiss Chard and Stilton Butter
Look @ how happy my husband is~
I see the true form of bliss in his eyes when he looks at his beef all the damn time!
He has a comeback for this statement above:
“I look at my wife in the same way too!”

Pan Seared Scallops with Cannellini Bean Purée, Garlic Confit, Tomato and Basil
Guess what? I have a 2nd MAIN TOO!!!!
